Eco Protesters Stick Together In RBS Demo
SKYnews, September 01, 2009Environmental campaigners have glued themselves together in a protest at the Royal Bank of Scotland headquarters in the City of London.

The Climate Camp protesters disguised themselves as construction workers to get into the Royal Bank of Scotland's Bishopgate HQ.
They unfurled banners which read "RBS: under new ownership" and "Ethical renovation in progress".
Police moved into the building and the protesters are thought to have been removed without any arrests.

Activists also entered Edelman PR in Victoria, London, and removed their clothes in the front window.
They held a banner saying: "Climate lies uncovered."
The firm represents the energy company E.ON, which uses coal-fired power station.
In a piece written for Sky News Online, Edelman CEO Robert Phillips said the firm was "proud" of its links to E.ON.

He insisted it was "business as usual" at the firm, despite the demonstration.
At RBS, the dozens of activists said they were protesting against the bank's investments in fossil fuel projects, especially funding for the coal industry and tar sands extraction in Canada.

Protester James Clarke said: "RBS is 70%-owned by the public but it is completely against the public interest for our money to be used to fund climate change.
"Yet again, the banks are putting profit over people."
The protesters had made their way from the Climate Camp recently established in Blackheath.
