Silvio Berlusconi is facing a titanic legal battle over his £4.5 billion fortune after his long-suffering wife announced she was finally divorcing him.

The Italian prime minister's wife Veronica Lario said she could no longer bear to be with a man who "mixes with under-age girls".
It follows a public spat last week in which she attacked him for attending the 18th birthday party of an aspiring lingerie model and game show hostess at a disco near Naples.
She pointed out that he had never had time to attend the coming of age parties of his own children. [more]
