Richard Cook: Conspiracy Theories

Conspiracy Theories

With increasing fervor people are asking whether there is a deliberate conspiracy behind the current worldwide economic crisis. Was the crash of the financial system caused on purpose? Are the financiers of the world plotting to take over? Is large scale genocide part of their plan? What can people do to protect themselves or thwart the plotters?

My answer is that there obviously is a world conspiracy and that it has been around for a very long time. Also obviously, it is associated with the richest people in the U.S. and other nations that I have called “the financial elite.”

But exactly who the conspirators are, how long is their reach, what are their plans, and what can be done are difficult to define. The attempt to elaborate these matters has spawned a huge literature including scores of books and a large number of internet websites.

Currently I am reading a book that gives a good general overview of much of the more commonly known information. The book is Rule by Secrecy by Jim Marrs. He is the author of Crossfire: The Plot that Killed Kennedy. Marrs is a journalist and a very thorough researcher. While he does not offer many startling new theories of who or what is really directing events, he is a good compiler of the information out there, including solid accounts of the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the Bilderbergers, as well as organizations, families, dynasties, etc., throughout history.

One thing is certain: the conspirators who today desire to enslave humanity for their own ambitions have tools to do so never before seen, including advanced weaponry, sophisticated snooping technology, and the power of computers. But have they overreached themselves? The people of the world are waking up. Maybe the would-be controllers, who are, after all, just parasites, aren’t so smart after all.
