Forthcoming guest lectures:

This summer BWPI will host a series of guest lectures and public panel discussions as part of its annual Advanced Graduate Workshop, organised with the Initiative for Policy Dialogue at Columbia University, and chaired by Professor Joseph Stiglitz.

A list of scheduled lectures and panel discussions is shown below. Please note that dates and times are subject to revision. You are advised to re-check this page nearer the time.

All lectures will take place in the Cordingley Lecture Theatre, Bridgeford Street Building. See link to campus map below.

As places are limited and expected attendance is high prompt arrival is highly recommended.

Public Panel Discussion: Monday 22 June 5pm - Nobel prize winners Professors John Sulston (Institute for Science Ethics and Innovation) and Joseph Stiglitz with Ken Shadlen (LSE), James Love (Knowledge Economy International) and Jerome Reichman (Duke University) on the subject of "Intellectual Property Rights and Access to Medicines"

Guest Lecture: Monday 29 June 5.30pm - Professor Pranab Bardhan speaks on "Land Tenure and Farm Productivity: An analysis of disaggregated Farm-Level data". This event is co-hosted by BWPI and the Development Economics Seminar Series.

Public Panel Discussion: Tuesday 30 June 5.30pm - Professor Joseph Stiglitz and colleagues on the economics of Africa.
