How university economic theories are failing us all
This was another excellent interview with Ross Ashcroft of Renegade Inc., discussing the book How Economics Professors Can Stop Failing Us (Rowman & Littlefield, 2017) with its author Steven Payson.Steven is an unusual critic of academic economics, because he comes at it from the practical rather than academic angle. To cite his Amazon page, he "has been a consultant at ICF Incorporated and the Inter-American Development Bank; a senior economist at the National Science Foundation and the Departments of Agriculture and Interior; and a branch chief at the Bureau of Economic Analysis".
