Ruby 'the heart stealer' strips for book advert

The woman at the centre of sex allegations surrounding Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has cashed in on her fame by appearing in an Italian commercial.

Karima El Mahroug, who has become known as Ruby 'the heart stealer', has appeared in an advert promoting a book by former MEP Alfonso Luigi Marra called 'The Female Labyrinth'.

In the advert posted on YouTube, the 18 year-old's clothes are ripped off by a man dressed as The Phantom of the Opera as she describes the book as a "guide to love, unemployment, the economy, seigniorage, reform of the EU" in a world "stripped bare" by the European Central Bank.

The Moroccan model was paid in the region of 100,000 euros (£83,700) for the advert, according to reports in the Italian media.

Silvio Berlusconi is due to go on trial in April accused of paying for sex with Miss El Mahroug when she was still a minor.
