Italians call for an EU-wide guaranteed income

According to the BIEN Newsflash, the Basic Income Network (BIN) Italia, BIEN’s Italian affiliate, and ten other Italian associations have launched a call for a guaranteed income in Europe on the occasion of the elections of the European Parliament (June 2009). Their main goal was to foster the discussion about basic income in Europe, but they mainly focused their action on the Italian candidates, asking them to promote a debate on basic income within the EU institutions.
