My Non-Fiction Book of Color Feature of the Day is Flat Broke in the Free Market: How Globalization Fleeced Working People (W.W. Norton) which discusses how globalization fleeced working people. Written by author, Jon Jeter, the former Washington Post bureau chief for South Africa, FLAT BROKE was written from the heart and mind of a Black American who saw the first hand the effects of a dwindling economy.

As a journalist, Jeter, who was by the way twice nominated for the Pulitzer Prize, covered stories on free-market reforms of the IMF and the World Bank. The research is well shown in this thorough uncovering of the consequences of abstract economic policies of the human race.
